Harold Hope Read (1881-1959) is a little known painter whose work had only recently come to light. He showed at the RA, RI and the National Institute of Painters. He became known at ‘the Bohemian of Tunbridge Wells’ and his work is now acknowledged as a precursor to that of Ardizonne’s.
